Designing Label with Variable Length
Inmostlabel-printingscenariosyoudesignandprintthelabelwithfixeddimensions.Thelabelwidth
andheightdonotchangesoyoumustmakesuretofitallobjectsonthelabel.
However,insomecasesyouneedtheabilitytodesignthelabelwiththevariablelength.Thelabel
lengthchangesinaccordancetothesizeofthelabelobjects.Whenyouassignmoredatatothelabel
objects,theirsizeincreasesandoccupiesmorespaceonthelabel.Inordertofitsuchobjectsonthe
label,thelabelheightmustchange.
Note:Therequirementforvariablelabelsizingisquiteofteninthetextileindustry,wherelabels
printtoendlesslabelmaterial.Therearenogapsbetweenthelabels.Theprintercuttercutsthemate-
rialafterthelabelprints.
Toenablethevariablelabelsizing,dothefollowing:
1. SelectFile -> Label Setup.
2. GototheDimensionstab.
3. ClicktheAdvancedbutton.
4. EnabletheoptionEnable variable label size.
5. Makesuretosettheoffsettothepropervalue.Theoffsetdefinestheamountofspace
betweenthelastobjectonthelabelandthebottomlabeledge.
