Using Guidelines
Theguidelinesaremovedatanytimewiththedragofamouse.Iftheyaredrugbacktotheruler
area,theyaredeleted.Itispossibletotogglebetweendisplayingandhidingtheguidelines,eitherby
usingthemenuorrightclickingthem.
TheguidelinescanbehiddenwiththeCtrl+Hshortcutkeycombination,andwhentheyarehidden,
theSnaptoGuidelinefunctionalityisalsodisabled.ThemenualsoincludesaDelete all Guidelines
command,whichremovesalltheguidelinesonthelabel.
HoldingdowntheSHIFTkeywhiledraggingobjectsallowsyoutotemporarilyturnontheSnapto
Guidelinesfunction.
Guideline Properties
Double-clickaguidelineorrightclickaguidelineandchooseEdit Guideline Propertiestoopenthe
GuidelinePropertiesdialogwindow.Thedialogallowsyoutoenterthenumericpositioningvalue,
choosethehorizontalorverticalguidelinetype,orremovetheindividualguideline.

Selectthe iconfromToolboxandmovethecursortotherequiredstart-
ingpointoftheline.
2. Pressandholddownthemousebuttonwhiledrawingtheline.Movethemousetothe
endpositionofthelineandreleasethebutton.TheLineobjectisplacedonthelabel.

Clickonthe iconintheToolboxandpointthemousetotheupperleft
cornerofthepicture.
4. Clickandholdthemousebuttonwhileyoustretchtherectangletothelowerrightcorner
ofthepicture.
5. Tochangethethicknessoftheverticalandhorizontalline,double-clickontherectangle
objecttoopenitsproperties.SelectthethicknessyouwantandclickontheFinishbut-
ton.
6. Toeditthedrawingobject,double-clickonthelineorrectangletoopenthedialogbox
withitsproperties.
